Colossians 1:9
--TheSecretPlace--
Hello all! Yesterday we talked about how a lot of people really do want to know the will of God for their lives even if they are unbelievers, but there are, as you know, only a few people who actually pursue the will of God. That is an amazing thing though, because so many people truly long for it, but they do not understand how desperately they need it, and therefore do not pursue it with all they are.
Have you ever pursued something with all you are? There are probably some instances that come to your mind from when you were younger and there was a video game, or a sport that you worked really hard at and finally got, and there are songs that you finally learned to sing, and I don't know what it was for you, but the truth that we all come to see is that those things do not last. You can only practice a game so long until you beat it, and sooner or later you lose interest in the song you finally learned all the words to.
These things are only interesting for short seasons of life, and then the next big thing rolls around, but aren't you ready for live for one thing that is interesting, and glorious in every season of life? I believe every person longs for that, and that one thing many today have found, and if you have found it you know that it is Jesus Christ-He is the One who was, and is, and is to come. In Him is life to the full-until it overflows-in every season of life. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
There is so much more than these temporary things we give our lives, and time to. We were created to live with a purpose, and not just for a little while for a short season, but the King of Glory has given each person eternal purpose. Sadly there are, as we said earlier, only few who choose to walk in their God-ordained destiny/purpose, and I want to ask you right now, Have you found that one thing that you can never get tired of doing? Have you found purpose for living that doesn't expire? Do you live for what is worth dying for? If you have not yet made a decision concerning that which you live for, I want to encourage you in the LORD that there is no greater life than life in Jesus. The world may cling to temporary pleasure, but in Jesus there are eternal pleasures that never disappoint.
Paul and Timothy learned, and found that there was only one thing, and better said, One Person worthy of living their lives for. They found this One person that they had been searching for, and when they found Him, they fell in love with Jesus, the life He give, and they gave their lives to Him in return for HIS LIFE. After making the decision to follow Him, they viewed Jesus Christ as the top priority in all of life, and because they determined to seek Him first(Matthew 6:33) they experienced the superior pleasures of knowing and loving Him. They found that the knowledge of God is what ignites their hearts with LIFE, and LOVE, and they did all they could to know Him more---To be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual understanding, and in all spiritual wisdom, because in all spiritual wisdom and understanding is the only way to know Christ because He is the most complex person. We are blessed to have the full ability to know Him. One of the great blessings of Jesus is that we don't even have to work at a church, or be a preacher to know Him, or to seek Him first in our own lives. Jesus is for every person to follow, and He is the greatest leader.
He is so worthy to be our top priority, and I have found that the more you give yourself to the knowledge of God, and the more you know Him, the more you realize what a treasure it is just to know Him, and that it doesn't even matter if you have the worst family situation, or the worst job, the only thing that matters is that you know the one who loves you unconditionally, and no job, and no amount of money could buy the love of God, but instead He pours it out to those who seek Him first.
So many people who talk about Jesus, and claim to know Jesus only really know Him in their minds, and what I mean by that is they do not have heart knowledge of God, and so many people lack heart-knowledge without even knowing it. It is because they lack a relationship with Him, and they do not sow into a relationship with Him, so they are just stuck in this religious spirit, and most people who are there realize that they aren't really walking in the freedom of Christ, and simply do not understand that it is not because Jesus doesn't LIKE them, but merely because there is no intimacy where there is no relationship. When we lack heart-knowledge of God our hearts grow cold, and hard, and we are restricted to living burdensome lives. But the LORD is offering us freedom! Jesus Christ came, and died for us so that we may know Him, love Him, and be FREE from our sins. We all need our hearts to be ignited with the knowledge of God, and thankfully the LORD wants to ignite our hearts in many many ways, but one key way He does is by filling us with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. How blessed are we to receive the knowledge of God.
So just as I end this post I want to encourage you all to determine who, and what you are living for. There is so much life in Christ, and those who reject Him, reject He who gives them life to live. There is so much love, and life in Jesus, and I just encourage you to search Him out, find out for yourself who Jesus really is. His word is truth, so I want to invite along with Jesus to search out His word, and believe in Him, and even lean on Him.
Be O so blessed!!!
---Intercession---
Lord God, I just ask that You would strike our hearts, and our minds with visions of You, and please just show us, and reveal to us Jesus. I love You so much, and I ask that You would pour out Your Spirit over us, and reveal Jesus! Lord we love You! You are so so good! Thank You for caring for us so intensely that You would die for us. Jesus You truly are the Lover of our souls! We love You Jesus! In Jesus' Name. Please continue to remind us of our-desperate-need for You. Amen.
Bless the LORD!
Kasey
