Daniel 3:7-9
--TheSecretPlace--
Hello all, before I jump into pointing out some revelation I have received from this passage of scripture, let's dissect it.
Daniel 3:7-9
v.7-At the time when the music sounded, the Word says that all of the people, nations, and languages fell down and worshipped the golden, idolatrous image that king Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
v.8-Then some 'certain Chaldean's' came and accused the Jews.....
v.9 Then they, accusing the Jews said, "O king live forever!"
It is a pretty good story reading on, so if you are interested read on, but today, because verses 8 & 9 have more to do with what we will be talking about tomorrow, I want to focus this post on verse 7, and as I was reading, I got more out of it than expected, and the wonderful thing is that there is still so much more to this verse that I do not comprehend. How AWESOME is our God!!
The first thing I noticed in this scripture is that the people there were so willing to bow down to this worthless idol, whether it was because they were under threat of death, or because they were accustomed to worshipping false gods, I don't know, but I do know that to bow down to something that cannot do anything seems like a waste of time in all, right??? But the truth is that even though we have things in our culture like mirrors, and video games, and cell phones that CAN NOT provide any security to you(especially when the phone dies), and so many youth, and adults bow down to these things like they are God. How willing are you to praise what was made by the hands of man? This is outrageous.
Also, these people obeyed the command of the king even though it caused them to stumble into sin. These people probably didn't care much about whether or not they fell into sin, especially if it meant for them to lose their lives over doing so. Thankfully there were some found faithful to the LORD to not bow down before that idol, which we will be talking about tomorrow.
The LORD right now is raising up a people, an army, of those who will refuse to defile themselves with idol worship of any sort. I desperately want to be, and am a part of this move of God. he is looking for those who will purify themselves, even in the face of death. This is truly a worthy calling. I am fully aware of how much I talked about this yesterday, but I am stirred to the point of saying even twice is not enough for me to get this engraved into my heart. I want to challenge you, and ask you, Will you be a part of this move that the LORD is mobilizing?
Out of the fear of man(and the fear of death) did some worship this idol, out of idolatry did some worship this idol, and some worshipped this idol out of their tolerance of evil, maybe they didn't want to bow down, bu their thoughts were along the lines of "its just a golden image, I would rather bow down than die."
And I do not know for sure why all of these people bowed down these are just my guesses. I do know this, and that is that the tolerance of evil, fear of man, fear of death, and idol worship, are all things the enemy uses, and is using to kill-spiritually, and physically- our generation, and the people of the earth.
There is evil arising in the earth, but there is also a righteous move of God. Will you be a part of this revolution?
Will you join me, and many others to stand against the idols this generation is setting up for themselves to worship, and even more will you stand against the idols all of the people of the earth are raising up for themselves to worship?
Will you respond to this call?
---Intercession---
Jesus, I just want to thank you for how you are moving across this earth, and calling us to partner with you. I pray that you would strengthen us to cling to You in purity and in love. Thank you for what you are doing. Please call those whom you have chosen to be a part of this move. I love you LORD, and I trust Your move. Please lead us to the rock that is higher than we are. Thank You, and in JESUS' NAME I pray. Amen.
