Here is my thought.
If you and I are going to live forever, and everything we do on this earth has everything to do with how we will live in the age to come-Why would we give ourselves to anyone or anything before we give ourselves wholly to Jesus Christ?
Why would you try to figure out a guy or a girl before you gave yourself to figuring out, and searching out the deep things of God?
Why would you give your time to video games, and the internet when you could be setting your heart, and your EYES on things above.
Psalm 119:37
Turn my eyes away from worthless things, O God, and preserve my life according to YOUR WORD.
So my question to you, and to myself is this: Do we know His Word? Have we given ourselves to know Him like He wants us to? That is with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Are our eyes on worthless things? When our gaze is on worthless things we blind ourselves to the beauty of God. The BEAUTY OF JESUS.
->He deserves our full(time-day and night) gaze
Have we begun to enter into the place of loving Jesus with all we are.
Here is the challenge
Will we do whatever it takes to take our eyes off of ourselves, and give our gaze to Jesus?
What will it take?
I want to challenge you to examine your life, and ask the Lord to reveal any area of sin in your life that you need to deal with in the way He wants you to deal with, and then deal with it.
Maybe you just need to get into a more disciplined schedule so that you can spend more time with Him.
Whatever it takes and whatever is necessary is what He wants from us to come closer to His heart. So that you and I may know Him, and enter into the knowledge of God into eternity.
Let us join together in cutting out those things that hinder us from love.
Song of Solomon 8:6-7
6Set me as a seal upon your heart,
as a seal upon your arm,
for love is strong as death,
jealousy is fierce as the grave.
Its flashes are flashes of fire,
the very flame of the LORD.
7Many waters cannot quench love,
neither can floods drown it.
If a man offered for love
all the wealth of his house,
he would be utterly despised.
as a seal upon your arm,
for love is strong as death,
jealousy is fierce as the grave.
Its flashes are flashes of fire,
the very flame of the LORD.
7Many waters cannot quench love,
neither can floods drown it.
If a man offered for love
all the wealth of his house,
he would be utterly despised.
