-Meditation-
1 Samuel 2:22-25
22 Now Eli, who was very old, heard about everything his sons were doing to all Israel and how they slept with the women who served at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.23 So he said to them, "Why do you do such things? I hear from all the people about these wicked deeds of yours. 24No, my sons; it is not a good report that I hear spreading among the LORD's people. 25 If a man sins against another man, God may mediate for him; but if a man sins against the LORD, who will intercede for him?" His sons, however, did not listen to their father's rebuke, for it was the LORD's will to put them to death.
--TheSecretPlace--
Hey everyone, I just want to make a couple of quick points on this scripture.
One thing that stands out to me in this scripture is that the sons of Eli obviously fell into sin, and their father rebuked them, but they did not listen to their father's rebuke, and the Word says that it was the LORD's will to put them to death. I see that in the Body of Christ right now so many are falling into sin, and we are not giving any attention to our Father's rebuke, and that is dangerous ground. The LORD is making known among His people the desire of His heart for us to walk in righteousness, and in holiness, but over and over we choose to go our own ways. Though this may be the case, right now in the earth the LORD is raising up people to at the first rebuke, they turn, and repent of their wicked ways.
I believe that the LORD is looking for people like Samuel who will stay in His presence, in the place of prayer so that they may not even fall into any sin. So right now I just want to encourage you to look to the LORD, and even ask Him to rebuke you, and show you where you need correcting so that you can respond to Him in love. Let's not let our hearts grow cold. Let us instead at the first correction from Him, turn to Him! Give our sin over to Him!! Let us live recklessly abandoned lives.
---Intercession---
Jesus I pray that You would strengthen us, and help us to in the moment where we are corrected, please help us to utterly hand over our sin to You. God You are SO GOOD!!! I love you, and I just want to thank You for all You do, and for pouring out Your Spirit on Your people. Be blessed in our lives, I pray that we would be fully repentant to You. Thank You God for all You are, and for what You are doing. Bless Your Name. In Jesus Name. Amen.
