Living by Faith and not the Law

-Meditation-
Galatians 3:1-14

-Breaking it Down-

This whole passage is all about living by faith and believing in Jesus compared to observing the law. A few things I first think about when I read this passage is, honestly, how much I have tried to be a "Good Christian" by observing the law. Really and truly some of my biggest struggles(so far) that I have had to overcome is the very thing of believing the Lord loves me, not because of what I do, but because of who He is. There is nothing I could do bad or good that could cause Him to love me more or less. For some reason I have had this mindset that I had to earn His love by what I do, but He has shown me that no matter what I do He loves me the same. Because of this I follow His ways and do things for Him not because I am trying to earn His love or impress Him, but because I LOVE HIM and realize HE LOVES ME. When love is the motive, and love is the reason, and whatever I am doing is an act of love....and not so much me trying to impress God or others it becomes a JOY.

I would encourage you to set aside time to just let the Lord search you for anything in you that is against His Word and His work in order to cause you to come closer to Him.

Psalm 37:23-24

23 The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives.
24 Though they stumble, they will never fall,
for the L
ord holds them by the hand.
